when you first go and see a personal trainer or a fitness instructor, they will more than likely ask you one question before you start on your journey. 'What are your goals?’. This will be an extremely important question that you answer, as everybodies answer is likely to be different in terms of personal goals. The more common reasons for wanting to work out are a combination of the following, lowering your body fat, increased strength, injury rehabilitation, muscle mass gain and sometimes developing high levels of definition and striation.
The way to get the most potential out of a bodybuilding workout is to tell your personal trainer as vividly as you can what it is you are looking for and what you expect to gain from your work out sessions together. You will have to be specific in what it is you want, not general remarks as these will not provide enough information for the personal trainer. Always be very clear when you are setting your goals.
To someone who does not know any better, a natural bodybuilding workout can look like it is random. This is obviously not correct, and the level of inaccuracy in the calling the workout random practically reaches the stratosphere. A well planned specific body building workout is a series of logical workouts put together to get to certain goals within a set period of time, which you and your trainer will have talked through.
If you choose your exercises and training schedule at random, then maximum results will not be acheived. You will use the wrong machines for your set goals, and you could even end up with a serious injury. You will not look how you want to look, or feel the way in which you want to feel.
The number of body building workouts that there are, is practically limitless and sometimes a little experimentation may be required to find what is needed and what is best for what you are wanting. Speak to your trainer to find out what may be best for you, and work together to acheive great results all round.

Body building was primarily a sport for men, there are many reasons for this, such as strength when weight lifting and the type of physique they needed to compete. Nowadays there are many more women involved in the sport of body building, many women choose to participate in natural bodybuilding for numerous reasons, such as, wanting to get into better shape, wanting more well defined muscles and of course what most body builders want to lead up to is competing at a professional level.
The major problems that the majority of women body builders face is that of the use of supplements. Especially the supplements that contain high levels of testosterone, or the supplements that cause the body to produce higher levels of testosterone. These particular product will cause women's voices to become deeper, and will also cause unwanted hair growth on the body, which therefore includes the face.
There are ways that women can avoid these such problems by just using bodybuilding supplemental products that are specifically designed for women. There are plenty of these available on trhe market now. Also, if you worry about body building because you do not want the body or physique of a man, remember that testosterone is what will cause this. So you can help yourself by avoiding the products that are designed for men, you can then safely lift weights and do the body building exercises, which will give you that nicely toned, hard body look, without making your body have the look or physique of a man.
Body building does however have many benefits for women. Take for example, weight lifting will actually help to prevent bone diseases that are common in women, ones such as osteoporosis. Weight lifting can also benefit women because it builds more lean muscle, then will enable her to burn more calories, even when she is resting from a tough workout.
In the majority, women body builders do train pretty much the same way that the male body builders work out. They require the same nutrition program and schedule, although the amounts are more often than not smaller. They do require supplements designed for the female body, a workout program that works especially for them and their goals, and of course, they require plenty of decent and regular rest.

The main four things we need to survive and to live healthly are oxygen, water, food and then sleep. Those four things that we need are in order of how we need them and how importnant they are. Sleep may be at the bottom of the list, but this does not make it any less essential than the others. As combined these things are as important as each other. If you have become a body builder recently or you are a professional, if you do not get the required amount of sleep each and every day, you will not get far in your body building career.
If you do not get the required amount of sleep you will soon become what is known as fatigued. There are two different types of fatigue that you may feel, these are physical fatigue and mental fatigue respectively. If you are a body builder and you become fatigued through lack of sleep and too much bodybuilding exercise training, you will soon feel both effects of fatigue. Getting plenty of sleep and rest is essential to the body’s recovery process after all the muscles in your body have been worked in one way or another. Your body will not recover from the fatigue whether mentally or physically till you have chance to rest, but it may take a while for your body to fully recover, if you have missed a few nights sleep. It is therefore better just to get some good, peaceful sleep from the off.
Some product manufacters and marketers say that catabolic may happen while you are sleeping, this is the muscles going to waste and ruin while you sleep. This is absolute nonsense, and could end up costing you your life.
What is actually happening to your body while you go to sleep is a standard repair job. The muscles that you have worked throughout the day will actually repair themselves, because you are actually damaging them when you stretch them the way that you do. What you will find after a nights sleep and your body recovering is that you are then more easily able to lift weight, and you have more energy because of the nights rest.

Beginning natural bodybuilding when you are overweight is extremely difficult, if not impossible. You will not be abled to lose weight and body build at the time, the main reason being to lose weight you have to decrease the amount of calories you consume through your diet. When body building workout you actually have to increase the amount of calories you consume through your eating habits.
This of course does not mean you should not lose weight while working out. Exercise and working out is essential to losing weight, it is of course the type of exercise that you do that is most important. If you are overweight, you have two main goals that you need to achieve first. The first one is that you must lose weight before doing anything else, all the while making your muscles stronger. The second goal you need to work towards is actually building your muscles. Remember to try and reach one goal at a time to avoid over working yourself.
Begin with proper nutrition and a healthy diet. Starving yourself thin is definately not the answer. You may lose the weight, but you will also lose your valuable muscles, and cause yourself a variety of other serious health problems, potentially fatal along the way. If you decide to starve yourself to your goals, you will more than likely fail. You ultimately need proper nutrition, and you need to be prepared to do it for potentially a lifetime. Bodybuilding is a lifelong endeavor.
Seek the professional advice of your health care professional. Let them advise you how many calories you will need to consume each and every day, how many fat grams, etc, so that you can reach your weight loss goals efficiently and safely. You may also want to seek advice from a nutritionist. Seeing as though your second goal is body building, you will more than likely succeed quicker with a low-carbohydrate diet, since these particular diets focus on the intake of more proteins, which are vital for body building.

People who are new to natural body building, may be looking at those pictures of the body builders in the competition and just simply cannot wait to get there themselves. They will ultimately look for any shortcuts possible and available. Taking these short cuts will harm your body building efforts in the long run, they are best to be avoided and at all costs as well. Of course there are safe ways to quicken the process of muscle building program and these ways are safe but still take a lot longer than the dangerous short cuts, thats why so many resort to the dangerous short cuts.
The worst thing you could ever do as a short cut is to start taking steroids. Steroids will make you much, much bigger than you were before and in a shorter period of time. Be aware though that taking steroids will have serious health problems and consequences attached to the use of steroids. Steroids also have what could be unwanted side effects for certain people. Take for example, if you are male, and you begin to take steroids to bulk up quicker, it will not take too long before you become sterile, you will be impotent, you may find you are growing breasts, and you find that your testicles have become very small. All of these things are very serious and permanent, once you start there is no going back.
The good and healthy shortcuts to take, however, are the ones that involve the body builder taking what is known as bodybuilding supplements. Taking the various vitamin and mineral supplements will help you to bulk up much faster. Having a nutritious diet, a specific diet for body builders, and eating six times per day will also help you to see improvements much faster.
Another healthy short cut is to not over train. You may be thinking that if you train more, you will get bigger in less time. This simply is not true. Muscles will not grow at all while you are actually working out, they will grow while they are resting, sleeping and therefore repairing. If you do not believe this statement, overtrain for a couple of weeks. Then for the next couple of weeks, do not overtrain yourself, and then you will see which method gets the best results. You can also do this in reverse to view the results.

You may sometimes wake up in the morning and go to your gym for your usual daily workout. You may have had a bad nights sleep or just decide that you are not feeling particularly energetic, so you stop at the closest store for a cup of coffee to perk yourself up a bit. You may notice caffeine pills for sale at the counter, while you pay for your coffee to go. You may be thinking that the caffeine pills sound like a great idea and will really help you through todays workout. Well before you do, it may be important to take some time to think about whether it will actually help you or hinder you in your bodybuilding programs.
Caffeine, although found in a variety of foods in small amounts, is classed as a drug. It can also be called a nutrient because it is in some types of food, as you would imagine there are many debates on this topic. How you should look at it is like the following, the caffeine that is in your coffee is actually a nutrient, and the caffeine that is found in those caffeine pills is actually a drug.
When classed as drug, caffeine can effect your blood pressure and make it high, a massive increase in heart rate, what is known as heart arrhythmia, dehydration, insomnia, anxiety, heartburn, headaches, and a multitude of other problems. On a good note though, caffeine has the ability to help you combat fatigue, makes you more alert for a period of time, can also improve mental functions, and of course, can also improve a persons athletic performance.
This information can make it confusing as to whether or not use caffeine when bodybuilding exercise. Most peoples general opinion seems to be that caffeine in moderation can be a good thing, like anything though if caffeine is taken in excess it can be a bad thing and potentially unhealthy. So, do you need the pills as well as that cup of coffee?
The simple answer is no. You are about to go work out. This will in effect increase your heart rate effectively. Enjoy your cup of coffee without guilt, and even if you are not feeling particularly energetic at the beginning of your training, the effects may kick in afterwards. This is because energy produces more energy and so in the end, you really do not need those caffeine pills after all.
Remember though that you drink an extra glass of water to compensate for every cup of coffee you may drink. Caffiene will dehydrate you and the general rule is to drink one extra glass of water for every cup of coffee that you may consume.

You can still do a natural bodybuilding project and work out even if you are under weight. The whole point of body building is to gain weight that you will need without actually gaining fat. The nurtition and the the bodybuidling supplements you take on a regular and daily business is paramount to success when body building. You will also build muscle when you work out and gain much needed weight.
The first thing you will need to do is change your eating your eating habits and you will need a good, healthy, nurtitious and balanced diet. In your new body building diet, you will need plenty of protein. In order to body build successfully, the last thing you will want to do is to eat junk food, or the wrong kinds of food in order to gain weight. If you do this, you will actually become fat rather than gain weight for the purpose of body building. A decent mix and amount of meat, vegetables, and also fruits will help you along your way. You will need to start eating 6 regular healthy meals.
The second thing you will need is a good supply of supplements and the right ones for you. Do not primarily focus on the weight gaining supplements, as you can do this more effectively eating the right foods. You will need to concentrate on the supplements that actually make you healthier. A good place to start is to use multi vitamins. Then try using a Whey protein supplement. Another good supplement is flaxseed oil, as this contains essential fatty acids that your body needs to stay healthy.
Some other supplements that you should think about using will include the following: creatine, glutamine, thermogenics, HMB, and CLA. Also it may be wise to invest in some meal-replacement bars and protein or meal shakes, so that if you do not have the time for a proper meal, you are still actually eating right, with no unhealthy fast food in sight. How many body builders have you seen in fast food restaurants? None!
The next extremely important thing you will need is water, and lots of it. The recommended water intake of eight to ten glasses is not nearly enough for body builders. Try drinking 16 glasses of water or healthy juice a day instead, and you will help to keep your muscles healthy and in turn you will avoid injuries while you exercise due to dehydrated muscles and tissues.

Bodybuilding exercise is not just a game that you play one day and give up on another. To successfully build your body, you have to be really motivated and dedicated at the sport. Ask any amateur or professional body builder and you will see that they are dedicated persons - focused on achieving the goal. Why, some even have their schedules planned to the minutest detail. Of course, we have to admit that there are times when we don't feel like working out. Yes, everyone has days such as these.
When you feel like this, it will help for you to take a breather and sit down to sort it out. This is a good time for you to review your goals and have another look at what first encouraged you to start becoming a body builder. Take a good look at your motivations. Is it for someone of the opposite sex whom you wanted to impress with a great physique? Is it to simply get into shape and be happy with yourself? Is it because you want to be able to join competitions and make a go of it at a more professional level? Or, do you simply want to have a well-toned body? Go back to the time when you first started it and wanted it so badly.
When you start this sport, you should be aware that it is something that you should be prepared to do for the rest of your life. Yes, it is not something you do just because you feel like it today, and stop doing because you got tired of doing it. You should be able to embrace the lifestyle that comes with natural bodybuilding, as well as to be willing to change some aspects of your life. It may be a challenge to keep up, but it is something that you should be fully committed to. If you are not able to breathe, eat, sleep and keep at it for the long haul, then you should accept the fact that body building may not be the sport for you.
Review the things that first motivated you. Is the excitement and motivation still there? Is there something else that will motivate you to keep at it? Whatever the motivation, whether old or new, there should be somethng that that should encourage you to continue on. Make a review of how you were when you first started and what you have achieved so far. Now, if you can't find something to motivate you, get rid of your personal trainer and nutritionist.Find new ones, check their credentials first. If you still do not have a trainer and nutritionist, this may be a good time to start hiring.
Keep in mind that you are not the first to be down in the doldrums. And you will surely not be the last. Every now and then, you will not feel like keeping it up.This is nothing to be ashamed about. The intensity required in body building may sometimes be difficult to keep up with all the time. Yes, you may be sometimes tempted to skimp the rigid schedule or forget it altogether. One suggestion is for you to take a break. Each week, set aside a day where you do not work out or be on a body building diet. This will help you avoid being burned out.The break will surely do a lot for you, both for your mind and for your body.

When you are a body builder, your metabolism will play a huge part in the process. The metabolism of the body is the term used for the particular process of the bodies ability to deal with the food. Metabolism converts the food you intake into energy and it is then used by your body. This maintains the body and will also help the body repair any damage and injuries that have been caused by intensive work out and training.
Your metabolism is actually controlled by exactly what you eat. If you are eating a large amount of carbohydrates in your diet, those particular carbohydrates are actually absorbed by the body in one of several different forms: lactose, maltose, fructose, glycogen, or glucose.Of these, the only one that the body uses is glucose. If the carbohydrate happens to become one of the other forms, it is then in turn reabsorbed by the body and the enzymes will work to break it down even further so that it then becomes glucose.
When this occurs in the body, the pancreas and liver will then go to work. They will start to move the glucose to the muscle cells in your body, and will then store it as glycogen. Glucose is also stored in the liver as glycogen, and when the muscles and liver are already full of glycogen, the rest of the glucose is then changed to fatty acid in side your body.
When you start bodybuilding exercise intensively, your body is then in part, more able to increase the metabolism in the body, which in turn will burn more fat, and burn it faster. So, what this actually means to you is that you have to eat correctly, without overfilling your liver and pancreas with glycogen, and at the same time you will train to increase your metabolism so that your body will be better equipped to deal with the food that you do eat in the correct manner.
As you can imagine, you are not just what you eat, you are also what your body will do with what you eat and when you eat it. When you have a proper diet and better nutrition, and you self drive your body to use all the fuel that you are giving it in the correct way, your muscles will then grow, and you will in turn reduce fat, or even prevent fat all at the same time. In the overall end scheme of things, it is all connected.

Many people have the misconception that all body builders spend their entire spare time inside the gym working out. Of course some of them do, but the majority of body builders do not. Body builders are just like any other person wanting to work out in the gym. They go for short periods of time and rest plenty. Some body builders have jobs, families, and sometimes even other interests, that cna be all outside of bodybuilding exercise and outside of the gym.
In reality a body builder need only spend about an hour a day in the gym, this could include weights, cardio and warm up and cool downs and also cleaning up afterwards. A small amount of time really, would you not agree?
To be precise, body builders are just like everyone else. They will more than likely so many hours a day working, possibly another eight hours sleeping, which only then leaves the body builder only seven hours left in the day. They eat six, small healthy meals a day, but these small meals may only take minutes to consume.
Hopefully, they shower.
There are those body builders who have become literally obsessed with the sport of bodybuilding program and how it can change their bodies. These are the only body builders that will spend lots hours in the gym, and even if they are not even in the gym, they are finding a way to work their muscles to the maximum. This is a massive mistake, and can only lead to unhappiness, injury, and in some cases an extremely unhealthy mental state.
Training hard can be a really hard habit to break for some body builders. It can be highly addictive, the feeling you get and the results you achieve, really just like smoking a cigarette or maybe as severe as taking a drug. When anyone works out and exercises, what is known as endorphins are released into your brain, and this gives us a really good feeling, like being high on drugs in a way. Endorphins are also natural pain relievers, we may be overtraining without realizing it and potentially leading up to injury which could be highly serious.
Try your best to not let this happen to you. You need to make sure that you spend a minimum set time frame in the gym, and make a life for yourself outside of the gym as well. Spend time with family or friends. Find an interest outside of bodybuilding. The gym will always be there, and if by chance it is not, there will always be other gyms!

Ask any other body builder that you know, and they most likely tell you that they have goals, specific goals written down so that they can keep refering to them constantly throughout their training periods. If you are serious about being a body builder, then you too will need these goals specific to you and your wants and needs from body building.
First of all, you need to write down the following: write down your measurements before you actually start any muscle building program or supplement takings. You should really begin by writing down your weight at that time and then your percentage of body fat. You need to make doubly sure that you measure your chest, waist, thighs, calves, upper arms, forearms, and neck and write all these measurements down. You will then have something to refer back to and see what progress you have made.
When you are into the full throttle of natural bodybuilding, you should make sure you keep track of all the food and all the supplements that you eat and be specific. Also make sure you keep track of all your training periods and exercises, and again make sure you are specific about what exercises you did. Things like how many sets and reps etc, and also how long you did each exercise for, as well as the total length of your training period. You will also need to keep up with all the fluids that you are drinking as well. All of this information is going to matter to you later on, so make a real effort to keep up with it.
Now the next thing to do is to set your specific goals for you. Saying that you want to have a perfect body is not nearly enough. Saying that you want to reduce body fat isn’t enough, either. Your goals will need to be stated in specific detail, and more importantly they need to be attainable. For example, instead of saying you want a six-pack, write down a measurement that you want to reach for your chest instead. Write down exactly how much body fat you want and need to lose, or how much muscle weight you want to put on. Again, be very specific. You will never reach any goal if you do not even know what the exact goal is.
Once you know what your bodybuilding goals are, discuss them with your personal trainer and nutritionist. Create a plan for reaching those goals, and if possible, set a time frame for reaching the goal as well. This gives you something to do, and a date to look forward to for motivation.
Remember that all the most successful body builders will set specific goals, and then use a direct plan of action to reach those particular goals. They also use the other information that they have written down to adjust the plan as needed — and to see what is working, and what isn’t.

There will always be heated discussions about what actually makes the best body building work out routine. This is more than likely because, different things work for different people. Some may think one particular way works best, and another may think that a different way is best. Noone is saying that these opinions are wrong, but that is all they are, opinions.
Take the carbohydrate debate for example, some people believe that if you cut carbohydrates from your diet completly will make you lose weight, however some feel it is totally unneccessary. In this particular debate, both are in fact correct. Weight loss is based around calorie intake, lower your calories you will lose weight, increase your calories, you will put weight on. You can reduce your calorie intake by reducing the amount of carbohydrates that you eat, as well as cutting fat and protein out of your diet. There are good and bad carbohydrates in food sources, so it is in the end your choice on how you decide which to eat.
The bad cabohydrates would be classed as the following food sources, white bread, potatoes, white cereals, ice cream, soft drinks or white instant rice. If you look at the list, you will see the majority of the food sources that contain bad carbohydrates are white or have no colour. These contain more carbs and less nutrients.
The food groups that contain good carbohydrates are as follows, whole grain bread, brown rice, sweet potatoes, pasta, apples, broccoli, the list is literally endless. So instead of just cutting carbs out of your diet completly, you could just swap the bad carbs for the good.
There are lots of body building routines for you to follow, so to stop you using the wrong one for you or you are confused, then speak to a personal trainer or a fitness instructor. Never push yourself too far and build up the length and strength of your body building routine gradually and carefully.
A good and in tune body building routine can help you strengthen your muscles, and maintain the integrity of your bones, as well as make your balance, coordination, and mobility a lot better. There are many advantages to muscle building and doing it correctly, so make sure you are doing what is right for your body.

It is true that everyone has to start somewhere and this is true for bodybuilding workout as well. While some people are striving to get fit, others are gearing up for serious competition. When someone is new to bodybuilding, they should look over these bodybuilding tips carefully.
The first course of action is to see a physician. It is important to make sure that the body is running properly and can handle the intense training of bodybuilding. Some people skip right over this step and assume that they can handle anything and eventually become ill or injured. This is one of the most important bodybuilding tips.
It can be tempting to head to the nearest gym and just get started working out. This is not the best idea. Anyone suggesting bodybuilding exercise tips will strongly urge a beginner to meet with a personal trainer or find someone who is already training and see if they will partner up.
Once training has begun, it is important to take it slowly. Cardio is necessary to burn fat and can be done daily. Weight training is a different matter. While building muscle, the muscle tissue tears and repairs itself, but it needs time in between workouts to heal. This is how muscles get bigger and people become stronger. A personal trainer will likely cover bodybuilding tips like this as well.
Nutrition Bodybuilding Tips
Working out is only half of the bodybuilding experience. It is necessary to follow these bodybuilding tips on nutrition as well. Without the nutrition aspect, a person is only reaching a limited potential.
When it comes to bodybuilding tips and nutrition, it is important that everyone understands that protein is key. Protein helps build and repair muscle. This is essential to those who are taking bodybuilding seriously.
Meal replacement products are an excellent choice for those people who are looking to increase their intake of protein as well as other vital nutrients. Some of these meal replacements are intended solely for bodybuilders and cater to their exact needs. Most come in the form of shakes or snack bars. This helps take the guesswork out of the nutrition.
One of the most useful bodybuilding tips is to become vegetarian or even vegan. Many bodybuilders practice these lifestyles while training. It helps keep their nutrition in check. It is certainly not for everyone, but can aid in the bodybuilding process.
Each of these bodybuilding tips is helpful for the beginner. Once the beginner stage is passed, the individual will already likely be working with a professional trainer and well on his or her way to reaching peak performance!

You may want to become a body builder, but you find yourself struggling to find time to actually get to the gym. Unless you are winning competitions regularly then bodybuilding exercise alone will not pay the bills that you have to pay at some time or another. You may have to work or maybe go to school, so when exactly do you fot time in to go to the gym and work out? ere may also be the aspect of family life stopping you from getting to the gym regularly.
First things first, take a good look at your important schedule. It could be possible to stop by the gym for an hour either before work or after work perhaps. What many people do not realize is that in order for building muscle effectively, you do not have to spend all day every day in the gym.
There are those people who actually think that you can work out effectively in the gym for as small a time as 9 minutes working out with weights, and only 30 minutes on cardio work out. Some think that this will allow you to do bodybuilding program more effectively and of course, not take up too much time on your schedule. That is only 39 minutes of the day, so the rest of the day is up to you. If you want to seriously compete and become a bdy builder, you will have to find this time somewhere in your schedule.
What about usinjg your lunch hour at work? There may be a gym close enough for you to go during your break, work out for half an hour and take the rest to eat a healthy and nutritious diet. This would be better than not working out at all, a small work out is definately better than no work out at all.
Could your problem be that the drive to and from the gym is taking far too much time in your day, when you allow for distance and traffic, you may be spending more time in the car than in the gym. If this is the case either find a closer gym, or build your own home gym in a suitable room in your home or maybe your garage. All you will need is some decent space, a dumbbell set, a barbell, and a weight set. A bench and an exercise ball will not go a miss, as well as a chinup bar, all this equipment would complete your home gym, if you cannot afford it all at once, build it up bit by bit. A home gym would also make your scheduling more flexible.
It really is just a matter of scheduling your time properly during the day. Be aware, however, that time must also be spent making sure that you eat properly and have a healthy and nutritious diet. Most bodybuilders eat approximately six times each day, and you will need to do the same. If you work or attend school, this may take some thought.

You may think you are doing the best for your body when you are training intensively in the gym. Lifting weights, toning your body and generally exercising your body to the fullest. You may be eating all the correct foods, you may be getting plenty of sleep after training. So how come you are not getting the results you should be after all the intensive training. It is quite a simple reason why you are not seeing any results, you are doing too much and in effect overtraining your body.
Instead of working so hard and doing bodybuilding programs every day of the week, twice a day. Try just training three times a week, you may not believe it, and many do not, but you can actually get better and faster results by only training a few days a week. When you are doing your training, instead of working for hours on one set of exercises, you only need to do them for about 3 minutes each.
The best way to exercise instead of counting the repitions that you do and the amount of sets that you do, try watching the clock instead and time how long you do per exercise. Whatever exercise you may be doing, do it for about 2 minutes and then move onto the next exercise and muscle group. Between each exercise and musacle group, make sure you rest for around 2 minutes before going onto the next one.
What many people do not know is that the size of the muscle does not originate from actually lifting the weight or working out the muscle through training. It actually comes from resting the muscle that has been trained. Once you have effectively stimulated the muscle through exercise, the muscle will then rests and repair itself, and then grows bigger while doing this.
Another worth while point to rememberis that you must use essential bodybuilding supplements your weight training with aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise is typically associated with losing weight and burning calories and fat, which is not something that most bodybuilders want to do. It will aid massively in stimulating the muscles as well, and it keeps the fat off and helps to keep your heart strong. You should really be active in around 30 minutes of aerobic exercise at least three times a week.
So instead of spending the majority of your time and personal life in the gym, you could actually do all the work and training that you need to do in 3 minutes a day for 3 times per week. Make sure you also do a good aerobic workout, again 3 times a week. You will have more time to yourself and also you will not have to worry about potentially injuring yourself through over bodybuilding exercise.

If you took it upon yourself to ask a few different professional or amateur body builders what exactly makes up their training sessions and what their workouts consist of, for each person you ask, you will receive different answers. There is no perfect training session and work out that works amazingly for everyone. With that information put aside, you may want and need to consider some kind of combination training for your bodybuilding program to be fully successful.
The fact of the matter is that you will not be able to stick completly to one specific train program and expect to see any kind of decent results. You will of course get to a certain point, and if you keep up with the program that you have decided on will keep your body maintained, but you will never actually progress any further. At the end of the day, to get anywhere with natural bodybuilding, especially if you want to be a professional body builder, progression is key to everything. Why not try to mix your train schedules up every two or three weeks. For instance, you could do ten sets of ten reps one week and then the following week, you could try to do five sets of five reps, with more intensive exercises. Maybe the week after that, you could actually do three sets of three reps, with even more intensive exercises. After this you could start from the beginning or keep switching and changing.
Try to make sure that you take the boredom out of your training periods and your work outs as this can affect your moods and your effectiveness in your training. Along with weight training, you will also need a decent cardio workout. Cardio is anything that gets the heart pumping more than it normally does, and actually keeps it pumping faster for at least 30 minutes at a time. This should ideally be done three times a week, at the very least and not really any more than that to avoid over training. On the other hand if you do the same cardio routine over and over, you will eventually get bored and lose motivation.
Instead of running on the treadmill all the time and looking at the same four walls and all the same people in the gym, get out in the beautiful fresh air and run in the park or the street. Instead of using the exercise bike machine, find yourself a real bike and go for an actual bike ride, the exercise and the fresh air will do you the world of good. Take part in an aerobics class or a step class — yes, men do take these classes. If nothing else, get out and mow the lawn faster than usual and get your heart pumping. Go for a swim.
The key is to not become to settled in your exercise routines that you then end up losing interest, motivation and then stop progressing. Make sure that you are working with a trainer that understands that the workout program must change as your body changes.

You have worked hard to become the professional body builder that you now are. All those hours training, eating right, taking various supplements and resting have finally lead you to the next stage… What exactly is the next stage though? Well it is time to start entering in the natural bodybuilding competitions. There are many various aspects of entering in a body building competition, so lets have a look at them to make sure that you are as ready for them as you think you are.
We need to firstly look at some of the different websites that hold information about various body building competitions, here a just a small selections of them:
http://www.usbf.net/
http://www.worldnaturalsports.com/
http://www.nanbf.org/
http://www.naturalbodybuilding.com/
http://www.nationalgym.com/nga/index.php
http://www.snbf.com/
http://www.inbf.net/
http://www.wnbf.net/
http://www.npcnewsonline.com/
Before throwing yourself into a competition, you need to doubly make sure you are actually eligible for entry, look at the requirements of the particular competition to find out whether you can join. There are usually entry deadlines and maybe even some fees to enter, so make sure you know all the ins and outs before making the jump.
When you have found a contest you want to enter, you will have to diet. This can be considered as the hardest part. You need to lose as much body fat as possible just before the contest, but you have to still maintain your muscle mass. You will need to keep a healthy and nutritious diet and perhaps use some of the various supplements available to body builders. You will lose about one pound of muscle for every three pounds of body fat that you end up losing.
If you do not already know how to pose, you will need to learn before the competition starts. The poses will effectively show your muscles that you have gained in the best way possible. Your physique does matter to how you look, but sometimes someone who knows how to pose right to show off their muscles wins, even when someone else actually had a better physique. So the key is to learn how to pose properly. The poses you will typically need to know are the Front Double Biceps Pose, the Side Chest, The Side Triceps, the Front Lat Spread, the Rear Double Biceps, The Abdominal Pose, and the Rear Lat Spread.
You will also need to have a tan, you will not win if your skin is untanned. There are products specifically desinged that you can use for this, that are specifically meant for competition tans, but you will probably need to spend some time in the tanning booth as well.
Lastly, you need to make sure that you have a membership for the organization holding the contest. It will more than likely be required. You will need some various music of your own to use when you are posing. You will need posing trunks (bring two or three pairs). Bring protein and potassium snacks and tanning lotion. You will need to use some posing oil as well. It can be useful to have someone with you who can help you apply everything you need.

When most people begin bodybuilding workout program, they typically focus on the exercises necessary to build muscle and reduce bodyfat. However, the bodybuilding diet is the most important aspect of the entire process. Without a proper diet, those muscles you’ve worked so hard to build will be covered over with a layer of fat, which goes against everything a bodybuilder tries to do. A bodybuilding diet isn’t difficult to keep up, it just takes a little discipline and know how. With a few tips and a lot of self control, you could be well on your way to the physique you’ve only dreamed about.
Split Up Your Meals
As we grow up, our parents usually taught us to eat three meals a day. Those meals were to contain the four food groups and they were generally large enough to keep us satiated until the next meal came around. However, the more you eat in one setting, the more your body has to work to digest it. Health experts now tell us to split up our meals into four to six smaller meals, eaten throughout the day. This, too, is what the bodybuilding exercise diet entails. By splitting up your meals into four to six smaller, more manageable, meals each day, our metabolisms speed up, enabling us to burn more fat than ever before.
Stay Away From Processed Food
When you begin your bodybuilding diet, you want to refrain from anything that uses processed flour. Experienced bodybuilders will tell you to stay to the outside perimeter of the supermarket, where the dairy, meat, fruit, veggies and bread are located. They will tell you to stay away from the inside aisles of the supermarket, where all the chips, and other processed foods are located. The simplest way to keep to your bodybuilding diet is to tell yourself to keep it natural. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and stay away from anything laden with sugar; as this will turn into fat in the long run.
Water, Water, Water
It can’t be said enough. When beginning any msucle building workout diet, you can’t refrain from drinking lots of water. Water flushes the fat and toxins from our body and also helps us in fighting disease and illness. After all, we are seventy percent water so we need to drink plenty of water if we hope to stay healthy. A good rule is to drink a glass of water before each meal, during each meal and once between meals. This will keep you plenty hydrated and that’s important, especially when it comes to your bodybuilding diet.
If you stick to the above tips and work hard, you could become a bodybuilder in no time. Remember, being a bodybuilder doesn’t just mean having big muscles, it also means having low body fat. While working out will give you the muscles you want, it’s the bodybuilding diet that will strip you of that fat so that those muscles, and all your hard work, will finally be revealed.

Another decision is when will be the best time for a workout? If the best time of day is early morning, a gym close to work may be the best option.
On the other hand, many workplace environments now include on-site workout rooms. If you’ve decided that competing in male bodybuilding is your goal, you may need a gym close to home so that more workouts can be arranged. In either case, finding a trainer that can help you achieve your goals is very important. Male bodybuilding is very competitive, so an experienced trainer can set up proper routines to facilitate strength training and getting all muscles worked on.
The trainer can also assist in making a nutritional plan in order to gain muscle mass. A trainer is a good idea for anyone starting out with weights. A qualified trainer can teach proper technique with weights, and the correct form when lifting. These important guidelines can keep a weight lifter from serious injuries. It is necessary for those of us who are regular bodybuilding enthusiasts to pay special attention to the muscle group’s structure as well as function while training. Though it is possible to get good results from simply performing muscle building exercises, it would nevertheless be of greater benefit to you to first understand the basics of bodybuilding anatomy and then proceed to build up an impressive physique.
If you use your knowledge about your muscle group’s structure as well as function to properly train, you will obtain the maximum from your endeavors and thus maximize the body’s strength as well as get larger and more powerful muscles. In addition, if you know your muscle building anatomy well such as understanding your muscle anatomy you will know clearly what the muscle appears as, and thus realize how the muscle’s work while you are bodybuilding.
Five Regions That Can Be Individually Exercised
There are basically five regions in the body for which different sets of bodybuilding workout can be used on each region, and these five regions comprise the arms and shoulders, back, chest as well as abdominal and legs. These regions are an integral part of the bodybuilding anatomy and when exercising the arms and shoulders there are four main muscle groups involved.
You can use the forearms to lift as well as lower weights as well as provide grip strength. For the biceps, you can use the traditional curl, while the triceps are often left underdeveloped, but are used for straightening of the elbow.
Deltoids are the main shoulder muscles and they can best be exercised by using dumbbell arm presses. Another part of the bodybuilding anatomy that must be worked on is the chest region in which the main muscles are called the pectorals, which are muscles that need to be developed using traditional bench presses as well as dumbbell flies.

When beginning bodybuilding, for competition or for personnel goals, it is important to begin working with a trainer. A trainer can not only teach proper weightlifting form, and safety measures, they will also, set up a routine. Many trainers use a periodization in bodybuilding workout program. This is a technique used by many serious competitors in the field off bodybuilding and other sports.
What Is Periodization In Bodybuilding?
The idea of periodization in bodybuilding may have been first used by Dmitri Matveyev in the early 1960’s with elite Soviet athletes. Periodization in bodybuilding is just one sport that uses this technique to improve performance. Many athletes use this procedure, naturally and don’t even realize it has a name. The idea behind periodization in bodybuilding is to use a series of planned changes to a workout routine.
The body can get use to lifting a specific amount, so varying the amount of weight used at a set pace can push the body to work harder and create muscle. The routine used in periodization in bodybuilding uses both light and heavier weights in a cycle. When using periodization in bodybuilding, the athlete begins by using the lighter weights and doing more repetitions of weightlifting.
This program is usually set up in a 12 week pattern, with a week of rest, and then back to the beginning workout routine. The thought is that by using a periodization workout, the body is being constantly challenged, making it work harder and for change to occur. Periodization in bodybuilding has been used by top bodybuilders for many years with excellent result. There have been some bodybuilders who don’t feel this is the most efficient way to build muscle mass.
They believe in constantly adding weight to the workout; and, pushing the body as hard as possible. The evidence doesn’t support that this form of workout routine has better results. Competitive athletes that use periocization muscle building workout programs discover that they can increase weight in shorter cycles than by pushing themselves to the extreme.
A periodization in muscle building guide is a well established form of creating muscle mass and helping an athlete achieve their goals. There are many magazines that have this type of workout routine featured for beginners to use.Having a trainer help set up a routine and make sure that proper technique is being used can help avoid injuries and make your workout more efficient. Before beginning any new physical workout, check with a physician to ensure that there are no problems with your health. Periodization in bodybuilding workouts can be the tool needed in getting into the shape.

When exercising, one of the most important things you can do, is to drink plenty of water. Everyone needs water or some other form of liquid to survive, whether you exercise regularly or not. We need all of the following to live, oxygen, water, food and plenty of rest and sleep. The sleep allows our bodies to recover from the days activities.
Protein is also very important to muscle builders and you may be having plenty of protein in your diet and through supplements, but unless you are getting you daily intake of water, you may as well not bother. The protein needs water in your body to be able to fold into ints three dimensional shape. Cells also need water to function properly so that we can survive.
Whether we exercise regularly or not we are always losing water from our bodies, it can happen in many forms such as swetaing, urinating, crying and also evaporation. We will dehydrate if our body is getting rid of the water in our bodies quicker then what we can replace it. The results can be fatal if left long enough before rectifying. The symptoms and some of the effects of dehydration include some of the following, dry mouth, dizziness, weakness, dry nasal passages, heart palpitations, not being able to sweat, heat exhaustion heat stroke, confusion and sometime and more seriously death.
If you are a muscle builder and you are exercising regularly and intensively and you are not getting nearly enough water that you need, you will not be able to work out as effectively, you will not be able to lift heavy weights as you will feel weaker than before. Unless you are properly hydrated whilst working out intensively, you will not be able to complete your training regime properly.
If you are working out you need to listen to what your body is telling you, do not stick to the 8 glasses a day rule, you may need more if exercising. Look for the changing colour in your urine, it should be light coloured and not dark. If it looks dark, you need to start drinking more fluids.
You may not actually like water, but it comes in many forms and can be intaken through many methods. Decaf coffee and tea count as your water intake, so do fruit juices and fizzy pop, just as long as they are the no sugar versions. Even eating vegetables and plenty of fresh fruit will help you with your water intake.
